The Leaves Are Falling!

And they're actually really colourful this year! Well... most of them have actually fallen at this point. They seem to have suddenly dropped overnight (last night to this morning). Anyway, while we were at Justin's parents house and Rebecca was playing on the swing set, Elias and I did a little photoshoot.

Looking past the leaves at the grass.

Oh, discovering a few leaves...

Looking at Rebecca

Getting a taste of that clover!

Rebecca's really interesting...

Really.

Oh look, Mummy can be interesting too! I finally got his attention!

Looks somewhat skeptical of something, doesn't he?

I think this look on his face is hilarious... and it's probably my favourite picture from the whole bunch!

Oops, lost his attention again.

Playing at Grandma & Grandpa's House

Justin's parents, sister, niece and nephew went to Georgia to visit Justin's uncle over Thanksgiving, so we were left to house watch for them. Before they left they replaced the sand in the little sandbox under their swing set, so since it was so nice on Tuesday afternoon I took Rebecca and Elias over to play for a little while. Unfortunately, in order for Elias to experience anything it requires both my hands, so there aren't many pictures of him. However, there are a number of pictures of Rebecca (and I do have a whole photoshoot of just him as well!).

Rebecca doesn't have a sieve like that one (the blue), and I think she was a little confused about how to use it. I tried to show her what to do, but she preferred just repeatedly filling it. Of course, with clean sand you're not going to find much anyway!

She really enjoys tractors and trucks and things. Anytime there is a crew working on our road somewhere she wants to go see the trucks and tractors and see everything that is going on!

Birthday "Party"

We went to the petting farm with a small group of people for Rebecca's birthday today.

Me talking with Karen while carrying Elias in the Moby wrap.

Rebecca with Grandpa

Grandma... this is about how we almost always seem to see her, lol. She's CONSTANTLY taking pictures!

Rebecca with Grandma

Elias!

And again! Isn't he cute? :) (I know, I'm a little biased!)

Rebecca with her friend Lexie.

Rebecca's birthday "cake". Lots of cupcakes made it easier to travel with cake! The candle ended up not wanting to stand up properly, hence it has some icing on the curl of the 2.

Blowing out the candle!

Yummy cake and juice!

Caylee is our next door neighbour, and almost exactly 2 months older than Rebecca. On the left is her mom, and on the right is her big sister.

Aaron, Lexie's little brother. He enjoyed his cupcake too. :)

The gang... minus a couple of people.

Opening the mini Etch-a-Sketch from Caylee.

Present from the Dan and Janet...

They couldn't have picked a better one-- they just filled that yellow envelope with all sorts of sheets of stickers! They'll probably last her until Christmas at the rate she likes to go through the things, hehe. :)

Grandma and Grandpa gave her some bath toys...

...and a "Chatter" Fisher Price telephone.

Duck!

Justin, Grandpa, and Elias... 3 generations. :)

And, Elias. :)

Happy 2nd Birthday Rebecca!

Rebecca turned two years old on November 11, so here are some pictures from that morning. Sadly, I forgot to bring our camera along for the ride when we went out to the Chippokes Plantation, so we're lacking birthday outing pictures, but that's okay. :)

The birthday girl.
Her presents! (which she'd been begging to open since the night before when she woke up and found them ready for her for the next morning!)

Opening the first present-- from Mummy and Daddy.

It was a hat and mittens!

Cute, huh? :)

Opening the second gift from Mummy and Daddy...

A book and the book on CD so she can "read" by herself. I've GOT to get more of these-- she LOVES the thing!

And then... gift number THREE... from Cokum and Mooshum.

Figuring out how might be the best way to get into it...

OH WOW! She can CARRY that whole box? It's bigger than she is!

Baby needs a hat...

See?
This is TOTALLY her absolute favourite birthday gift! She's played with it EVERY SINGLE DAY since her birthday! Her poor baby "from Elias" was neglected for a couple of days there... she's starting to get back into playing with her first baby as well now, so she often is carrying two babies, or carrying one and pushing the other... she's starting to look a little like me when on a walk with my babies, hehe!
